Looking For A Good Repair Shop?

23 08 2012

Dale BertramHere are a few suggestions that will help you to choose a good, reputable repair shop.
-Ask around. Has anyone you know had a good or bad experience with a particular repair shop?
-Go online and look for reviews.  If they have more bad than good take it to heart.
-Try to find a shop that has a lot of repeat customers. Customers are more likely to stay with a shop that they trust and that does a good job for them.

Before you make an appointment, there are a few questions you should ask:
-Do they have up-to-date training (certificates) and diagnostic equipment?
– Are they members of any trade associations, such as the ASCCA, ASA, BBB or others?
-Do they have ASE Certified Technicians who are certified in Master Auto Repair, Master Engine Repair and Advanced Engine Performance technicians?
-Do they guarantee all their work with a 24 month / 24,000 mile warrantee?
-Do they work on your model of car and are they certified for that make?
-Do they have shuttle service available?
-How long have they been in business?

It’s also a good idea to “test drive” them by going for a simple service! It’s less stressful if you trust the shop before you need an unexpected repair.

Happy Motoring!
